SOKUDO was launched in 2024, initially by a group of JDM enthusiasts from East Yorkshire.

Looking to build on event organising from 2023 under a different name, Mike, Steve, Mike and Jess felt like it was the time to take this to the next level and decided to form SOKUDO.

Our club focus is to put local JDM enthusiasts at the heart of our drive forward; listening to what you want and using the skills we have to make that happen! We already have 2 dedicated events to our club and want to boost that with even more!

We all have a passion for all things JDM from small Kei cars to performance monsters like GTRs. If it’s from Japan, then it’s for us!

As mentioned, we are enthusiasts who love cars and wanted to create a club with transparency. We have a not for profit approach with any and all profits going directly back into club materials to give our members the best experience we can!

We are constantly on the hunt for new ideas and people to get involved.

Our Committee staff team have all been involved in a number of clubs and car show planning over a number of years with the majority of us well into our 30s and 40s! We come from a range of backgrounds and car histories (some of them even French cars – 🤮).

Throughout our years of love for Japanese tin, we have all gained a range of skills and knowledge both of the cars themselves and the effective organising of clubs and shows! We want to give others out there the chance to enjoy the club experiences much like we have over the years!, bringing you a club that cares of all of it’s members,

Our goal is to create an all-inclusive Japanese Car Club community for the people of East Yorkshire and other JDM enthusiasts nationwide.

We want a club that operates through the investment of time from it’s staff and it’s members to create something that is available to all.

We want a club that is not for profit, but uses its funds to drive things forward as a club to the benefit of it’s members.

We want a club that is going to push it’s self to be better, to host more events, go to more shows, organise convoys to other club meets and be active all year round.
